Please be informed that the Kyoto City accommodation tax rates will be revised effective from Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The revised tax rates will apply to all stays from March 1, 2026 onward, regardless of the reservation date or the date of payment.

The accommodation tax is charged per person, per night, based on the accommodation fee.

Revised Tax Rates

Applicable from March 1, 2026

• Accommodation fee under JPY 6,000: JPY 200
• Accommodation fee from JPY 6,000 to under JPY 20,000: JPY 400
• Accommodation fee from JPY 20,000 to under JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000
• Accommodation fee from JPY 50,000 to under JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
• Accommodation fee of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000

Applicable until February 28, 2026

• Accommodation fee under JPY 20,000: JPY 200
• Accommodation fee from JPY 20,000 to under JPY 50,000: JPY 500
• Accommodation fee of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000
